A balance between usage requirements and technical features can be achieved by including both the needs and wishes of the users, and the internal architecture and structure of the product in the design process. A product line as a whole is designed to function as a natural part of an efficient patient care environment, where both the patients and the nurses are taken into account.
Long-term co-operation is typical for us in this field. For example, we have designed patient monitors and anaesthesia work stations for GE Healthcare (earlier for Datex Ohmeda), and laboratory equipment for Thermo Fisher (earlier for Finnpipette) since the 1990s.
Our designs have acquired many awards, including several Fennia Prize honorary mentions between 1991-2008.
