| Utility vehiclesOur vehicle design business unit focuses on industrial design for utility vehicles and other investment products. Our work includes designs for tractors, forklifts, mining machines, agricultural machines, forest machines, buses, and boats.
Ergonomics, functionality, manufacturability and brand identity are important design factors in the vehicle industry. Short production series together with wide product ranges challenge industrial designers in product development and require close co-operation with parties representing technology, engineering, marketing, business management, and suppliers. Our projects typically feature industrial design and mechanical design as one, seamless process.
The utility vehicles unit operates both locally and internationally. Its clients range from small local manufacturers to globally well-known brands and enterprises like Valtra (a member of Agco Corporation), and NACCO Materials Handling Group (producers of Hyster and Yale forklifts).
Valtra tractors designed by ED-Design have won the international Golden tractor design prize (Italy) twice, in 2003 and 2005.
