Aquafree eliminates the need for water when brushing teeth

December 4th, 2009

United Treatment Centers has developed Aquafree, a toothbrush which eliminates the need for water by injecting liquid toothpaste from within the device itself.

Access to clean water is a major concern in many developing nations, making dental care there problematic. On the other hand, lots of water is wasted elsewhere when faucets are left running while brushing teeth. By addressing these problems — along with many others — Aquafree has gained enormous interest from the military, cancer hospitals, amputees, and arthritis sufferers.

Industrial design for the Aquafree has been done at ED-Design.
