When complex products are designed, there is no Industrial Design without Mechanical Design. The two merge seamlessly together, with the design focus gradually moving from aesthetical aspects and usability associated with Industrial Design, to mechanical requirements and manufacturability associated with Mechanical Design.
When needed, ED-Design can also take care of the mechanical design part of a project. The hand-over from industrial design is seamless, with the same tools used throughout the development process: Catia, Pro/Engineer and SolidWorks.
To ensure a fluent hand-over from design to manufacturing, ED-Design can also act as a consultant in coordinating mold creation.
